Composition Award Casa de las Americas, 2011
In order to encourage and disseminate the latest musical creation symphonic, chamber and choral continent
The Award is organized every two years, with the purpose of rewarding work in instrumental form appears indicated in the official announcement. This fourth edition of the House Composition Prize of the Americas will take place in April 2011 and will be devoted to works for three instruments, including piano, as set forth in the following bases:
1. Participation American composers, natural or naturalized, with works that respond to the skills and resources of contemporary creation.
2. Each author may send up to three new works competition, not publicly released and have not obtained prior to any national or international prize.
3. The works will be sent under a pseudonym and the organizing committee will keep hidden the identity of the composer until the jury has delivered its verdict.
4. The work must be written for three instruments in any combination that includes piano obligatorily.
5. may have a duration of twelve minutes and a maximum of twenty minutes and the duration should be indicated in the score.
6. The films will be printed in three copies of the score and a complete set of particellas, duly numbered. Manuscripts will be accepted, but we recommend arriving printed from any of the professional music notation software in place. Along with the printed score will be sent in a digital audio CD version of the work (Model) in a PC-compatible system.
7. Each printed work will be properly identified with the pseudonym of the author and accompanied by a sealed envelope containing a resume of the composer, including: User ID, full names, date of birth, address and email address, title or degrees, memberships, professional performance and catalog of works.
8. For composers who are competing with more than one site must be maintained the same pseudonym for all shipping.
