Before forget our stay at the Abbey Hotel Templar at the pool, I'll dedicate this post to discuss it fully. Look, I've traveled all kinds of accommodation shelters hostels, apartments, farms, zip lines, hotels, hotelazos, resorts, colleges, jungle huts, tents, caravans and even a London school in the style of Harry Potter, with hundreds of years "real" behind .. but the Templars' Abbey Hotel, left me very impressed.
fully feel the effort they have made to rebuild an "abbey palace" (as I would call) located in a typical "English village" . The surroundings of the Hotel is fully achieved, the facilities are very comfortable and I found everything I needed to enjoy the maximum stay.
When I heard that the Hotel was at 100% occupancy I trembled. That, in most cases usually means: a spa crowded, do not get a hammock by the pool or raving lunatic, a racking aisle by scandal .. and many more that I will not list here. However, 100% occupancy at the Abbey of the Templars means that the room becomes more crowded, but at no point we feel overwhelmed, stacking people, busy ... It was fantastic, really.
A highlight of the Hotel (not the owner hired me to write this post !!!):
- The service is great. To be a big hotel, it is surprising that the Director himself go to welcome you to your table, and over, there is as yet everything is to your liking at all other times (without being a celebrity impressive !!!). The reception staff and restaurant, very close and friendly. People who were responsible for cleaning, they were almost transparent .. no sound, no voice, fantastic. The girls attending the spa, warm and friendly what more could you want? My score, 10 in this regard.
- decor very, very carefully. Craft tables of place, atmosphere is very accomplished, crafted woodwork, masonry that seemed a thousand years .. And the rooms, wonderful! All had the same style furniture with a modernist (and angular forms that impossible), hand-embroidered quilt, plasma TV, king size bed and hipercómoda, excellent views and a very good sound insulation.
- The spa, fabulous . Large swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Scottish showers, foot baths, water beds, swimming pool float, and the best ... one bed room starry sky warm with color and relaxing music ... uummmm delight!
- The breakfast was pretty good, and the restaurant menu just right. Can not say it was impressive, but we had no complaints.
Something that we did not like?. .. to get any hits, let's say they offer a range of activities that ultimately we fail to achieve because no group was formed, perhaps for me this is the only thing we missed. Moreover, it is a highly recommended hotel, and if you are lucky and you fit the offers usually have a phenomenon, because there will be price.
Nothing, if you can give a walk around there, also visit the area is wonderful.
